Late-night Burd

I haven't really seen too many of them out here, but I remember catbirds from when I was younger. They're grey, nondescript, and very noisy. They can do a little bit of mimickry, and the jury (in the form of my family) was out on whether they got their name by meowing like cats or chasing them. Catbirds are also said to mimic telephones, the whistle you use to call the dog, and an assortment of other sounds.
