A lot of layers required here, especially since I didn't really have all the paints I wanted to use and had to jury-rig some. Ink, acrylic, colored ink, gilding powder, interference colors. Starlings are gaudy, gaudy animals. As usual, a lot of this doesn't scan properly - the real thing is extremely sparkly.
