So, I've had a number of artistic crises recently (you know, the "oh, god, what am I doing?" variety) and have been too twitchy to do anything fully rendered. Apparently this results in fan art for shows I only sort of watch.

Paint Tool Sai and a bit of photoshop. The original's about 9x12, and the pose is swiped straight from Mucha and only slightly altered. Cel coloring and obvious line art are my friends. My easy, predictable friends. I still want to know what candied hawthorn tastes like, too. It looks all shiny and delicious in the photos (that's what's in his hand.)

Err, and don't let the artsy picture fool you about the anime/manga if you haven't seen it. The ass jokes alone...

I like his expression and clothes. The windowy thing in the back seems to be in a completely different style? It's confusing.

Hmm. Is the style difference greater than in these?

If so, I may need to work on it. I tried adding some texturing to the purple areas, but it looked too busy.

Heh. There's Alfons Mucha to thank for much of the arms, I'm afraid.
Princess Hyacinth: http://www.oblivion-graphics.com/home/images/mucha-hyacinth-bg.jpg is the one I swiped the pose from.

But thank you!
