Day 2

Alright, time to move away from the comfort zone. Not too far, though - if I jump right into really difficult things, I'll just wander off. So, still with a head shot and still with linework only. But it's a guy, which I'm less good at, and there are three colors this time. Plus the terrifying prospect of dealing with neck anatomy.





Paint Tool Sai again. Colors used: sap green for background, burnt umber for main linework, caput mortuum for some shadows, lead white for highlights. Took about an hour.

Your people have a tremendous amount of life in them. I can see that the neck is difficult, but it's easily overlooked in favor of the vivid character you created.

There's immediate emotion in his expression, and his eyes are very obviously focused on someone or something. I like this!
