Rat update

gracedpalmerHave been cryptic here recently because of the rushing around. For anyone curious on the status of my colony:
Chiron has maloccluded teeth which became overgrown. He lost a lot of weight and became very sick while I was out of town. I've had his teeth clipped, and he's improved, but he's not allowed to live with other rats anymore and remains sickly.
Simon was a-ok until a little less than a week ago. Then something happened to his eye. It's either an infection or a tumor - neither I nor the vet could figure out which. Is on anti-biotics in the hope that it's an infection, but whatever it is increases daily. Will probably lose him soon.
Guildenstern is totally normal and okay.
Rosencrantz is very very happy, because he ate all the extra food in the cage. However, he now is so fat he looks like a hamster. :P
