From the depths...
Dec. 27th, 2011 10:30 pmOk, has been an age since I successfully posted. The midwinter tizzy plus accompanying madness finally kicked in, and things were very odd for a while. Over the course of the week leading up to Xmas, I dropped to 1/2 quota or less, spent a lot of time with
sfogarty, cried randomly a bit, and killed the previous iteration of my website (back with redirects sometime soon). We also had tacos and sleepover for the 24th, followed by the traditional Christmas Chinese food the day after. RPGs were intended, but sleepiness and scheduling woobles got the best of us.
ladydrakegot me some lovely linen, and her boyfriend gave us all beautiful hand-turned pens. I have books from
samadi that I must get round to reading.
Somewhere in there, I gave myself an exciting RSI, and have been husbanding my hands for a while. Managed full quota today and can read the internet, but I'm Fingerless Glove Girl and have to take frequent breaks between bouts of typing. No sewing or drawing for the forseeable future, which is sad, because I have Things! They need serious doing! Maybe I'll be functional again by January. Back went haywire for a couple of days, too. Not so much fun.
Downtown Milwaukee was gloriously dead there for a while. I love it when the city has that abandoned feel, despite my love of stores actually being open. I could park easily for entire days!
There may be another great moveathon in a month or so. Here's hoping the weather continues to love us.
How's it going out there, silent masses of LJ?
