gracedpalmerI've got a huge art post to upload in a minute, but I'm going to put this up separately so it's easier for me to find later. Today, I bastardize Indonesian food!
This is gado gado - an Indonesian salad. However, it has about as much to do with real gado gado as general Tso's has to do with real Chinese food, or as hambaagu has to do with McDonald's. I have all the wrong vegetables, there should probably be a potato in there, and no shrimp crackers are involved.
What I do have, in the big container, is bean thread noodles, fried tofu, and the ugliest boiled egg in the world (the shell cracked mid boil) and a little pig/bear full of peanut sauce. The veggies are blanched green beans, and green and yellow bell pepper, with some spare tofu on top. The fruit is mango with coconut shreds.
