Seanan McGuire is interested in having the following phrases:

"The dead are rising/walking! Run for your life!"
"I have been infected. Please shoot me."
"I am not infected. Please do not shoot me."

Translated into as many languages as possible. If you are fluent enough to do this, please go to http://seanan-mcguire.livejournal.com/244267.html and post them!

In other, less delightful news, the local rat population is likely to be down to two in short order. Paris is not doing well, and has not been for some time, but now is extra bad. When a rat does not eat, things are dire. I am keeping the little guy warm and attempting syringe feeding, but I think his progressive neurological symptoms have gotten too bad.

Decent mood, had a nasty lake headache there for a while, but it abated, big improvement over yesterday's tearfulness and lack of motivation. Made a pizza - almost have the dough right - it remains a touch bready, not chewy and sturdy the way one wants pizza dough to turn out. An overnight rise was helpful - perhaps it would like two nights next time? Atta flour also seems to be a big help - it's rather proteinful.

I was not all that slothful, really, though I do feel that I ought to have gotten much more done. Still, managed to get some tools, and some fabric for a new house-haori (the other one had a few issues) and buy new sheets! My old ones had developed holes big enough to stick my finger through, and I'd worn all the nap off the flannel, so it was time. However, it feels like absurd luxury, since I only really buy new ones every five years or so. Really, this route does lead to decadence and the fall of civilization. One minute I'm getting new sheets, the next it's circuses, vomitoriums and declaring myself the Sun King. Err. Yes.

Perhaps I shall go to bed now.

Me, to hypothetical person: "Oh, Nghi's not mad at you, she's in Peoria. Peoria's like being dead."
Nghi: "I'm spending a year in Peoria for tax reasons."

75.8 miles since the beginning of October, when I started charting , and I just hit the Bonfire Glade. (Don't know what I'm talking about? see here: http://home.insightbb.com/~eowynchallenge/). Was doing about a mile a day, on average, till the weather got nasty. Have slowed down since the beginning of December.

I'm thinking about making a haori sort of thing. Some kind of big, lined, rectangular-construction robe that'll fit on top of everything, no matter what I'm wearing. Today I dyed some greyish purple flannel more of a light plum/dark mauve, and I was intending to use my remaining Dylon to turn some of my mushroom colored linen sage for the shell.
However, while looking for the linen, I found a bunch of black twill I hadn't remembered I had, as well as a maroon flat sheet. Hmm. Goth haori? On the way, I also dug up a miscellaneous bin, in which I'd packed my spare air mattress pump (wish I'd remembered that before buying a new one), a bunch of leather, some videos, pigeon wings, and winter clothing.

Apparently it takes me all of three months to completely forget I own winter clothing. It's like my birthday. My apartment is giving me presents! The Cruxshadows agree with me.

Now I must make chubby woman in haori sketches to figure out what will be used for what purpose. The black and red could also easily go into some more skirts, since my black ones are getting quite ragged and I could use a nice one. Or I could make a purple and green something else.

I do -not- need to make a really authentic 16th century Augsburg outfit before I am A. finished losing weight and B. make a major move.
How about a hat, brain? Or finish one of those many, many projects you've already started? It's not like we even -have- tropical weight wool in the house.

It occurs to me that I haven't actually mentioned this here. Nick's keeping a supervillain blog, ala the Velvet Maurader, called a Villain's Life.
I suspect that some of you would like it a lot (those who aren't already reading), and it's accessible to those of us who don't read superhero comics much.

Regardless, the Internet has turned up some photos by other folks of the zombie march. I'll link them, so as not to eat bandwidth. I am not in any of them, because I am invisible.
Zombies like bus
Observant folks can see Nick and Zee. Nghi and I are behind some of the signs, and invisible.
